Humpty Dumpty’s best materials
Help Humpty Dumpty find the best material to protect him from his fall with the activities in this presentation.
Use these resources to recognise properties of different materials with your class and apply their knowledge to choosing a material to protect a falling egg. The presentation can take your class through keywords to describe material properties and allow them to predict which would be best to protect Humpty Dumpty.
They will then test their chosen material in a simple investigation, applying what they learn to different materials. Finally, use the activity sheet for your class to write a letter to Humpty, explaining which material is best, why it works and draw a design to best protect him.
