How can I use this with my class?
Use this pair of resources to give pupils a basic understanding of what a career/job is and to link classroom knowledge and skills to those used by people in the real-world, thereby broadening horizons and showing pupils who they could become. Use the video to show Jan the ecologist using special equipment to count and identify minibeasts. Then, refer to the ‘Building career awareness guide’ for ideas and activities that will help you develop your pupils’ interest in being an ecologist, still further.
