How can I use this with my class?
Use this presentation to build your class’s knowledge of wind and wind energy. Using the electricity from the wind presentation will build on students’ knowledge of convection, renewable energy resources and energy stores.
The investigating wind turbines worksheet can be used to design and carry out an experiment on wind turbine blades. The worksheet provides further information on wind energy, space to consider variables and clear instructions. You can use this task to apply student’s knowledge of the work done calculation to a real-world example and use it to conclude and evaluate an investigation.
